As a certified massage therapist through the California Massage Therapy Council, # 73538, Amy specializes in a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including: Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue and Deep Tissue Sculpting, Cupping for Myo-Fascial Release, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Pre and Perinatal Massage, Circulatory Massage, Sports Recovery, Post Surgery Massage and self care guidance.

Amy began her journey into massage therapy after completing a 750-hour program at the International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) in San Diego, California, earning her certification in December 2016 and continues to grow her knowledge throughout each year with continued education.

Her passion for bodywork is deeply personal. She understands firsthand what it’s like to live with acute pain and chronic pain. After the four years she spent in the United States Navy as a jet engine mechanic, and 20 years in the casino industry as a table games dealer, she had developed multiple work-related issues, that has since been relieved with the help of massage therapy. It’s incredibly rewarding for her to help others reduce their discomfort and to facilitate their body’s natural ability to heal and perform it’s best.

She has success working with various conditions, including: Post-injury and chronic pain, Range of motion restrictions, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Plantar Fasciitis, Migraines and frequent headaches, Nerve impingement, Lymphedema and post-surgery Edema, Spinal Disc Fusions, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), TMJ, Stress Reduction.

Outside of her private practice she’s had the privilege of working for UC San Diego Health as a Medical Massage Therapist in the Center for Integrated Medicine department, since January 2022, where she continues to refine her skills and provide compassionate care with the continued mission of bridging the gap between western medicine and holistic health.

In 2017 and up until Covid, she worked at the Massage Center at The Optimum Health Institute where she first began to gain experience, working with various pathologies and conditions. She also does various wellness events for office workers and veterans with chair massage and self-care guidance.

Outside of work, Amy is a dog and nature lover who enjoys hiking, off-roading and expressing herself creatively through ceramics and painting. She truly believes that she has the best job in the world!
